Financial Aid Professionals: ED Wants Your Feedback on FAFSA Processing

The U.S. Department of Education is actively seeking feedback from the financial aid community to help improve the systems and services that support the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®).

A brief, optional survey is now open to institutional financial aid administrators and state agencies, providing an opportunity to share your experience with FAFSA processing. The feedback collected will directly inform the Department’s efforts to streamline data delivery, enhance usability, and shape future enhancements to FAFSA-related services.

What the Survey Covers

This feedback initiative focuses on:

  • How institutions and agencies receive and use FAFSA data

  • Challenges related to determining student eligibility

  • Communication efforts tied to data usage and system updates

This is a chance to highlight both technical and operational experiences, especially in light of recent FAFSA simplification changes and system overhauls.

Why Your Feedback Matters

FSA uses community input to prioritize improvements, develop support tools, and ensure clear and timely communication with institutions. Your voice helps shape the policies and technologies that drive student aid delivery at the national level.

The survey is open through Friday, July 11, 2025.

For questions or feedback outside the scope of this survey (such as other FSA products or services), please reach out via the FSA Help Center.
